VeloCard Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

VeloCard is designed to be private. Your route data is processed entirely on your device, and the app does not collect, track, or sell any personal information.

What stays on your device

GPX and FIT files you open, photos and videos you choose as backgrounds, and the images and videos you export are all processed locally on your iPhone or iPad. None of this is uploaded to us or to any third party.

Strava (optional)

If you choose to connect Strava, you authorize VeloCard through Strava's official login. We use a secure helper to exchange the authorization for an access token, which is stored only in your device's Keychain. We use it solely to fetch your activities at your request. We do not store your Strava data on any server. You can disconnect at any time from the Strava import screen, which deletes the stored token.

Maps

When you use a map background, map image tiles are requested from third-party map providers (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, and Esri). Those providers receive standard network information (such as your IP address and which tiles were requested) to deliver the map, subject to their own privacy policies.

Analytics & tracking

VeloCard contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and do not track you across apps or websites.

Children

VeloCard does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
